She was born on February 24, 1932 to Lloyd & Viola Fay Hawley in Wallace, Idaho. In 1951, she married Claude “Gene” Pyburn. They had three children, Steve, Debbie, and Gina.
She lived a full life as a wife of a military man. They traveled to many different places over the years and in 1973, retired in Mountain Home, to be close to the airbase and her brother, Herbert Hawley.
Sally was very active in the community and volunteered at the Visitor Center. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Chapter 8150 and the Red Hat Ladies. She had many dear and wonderful friends.
She loved her family with all of her heart. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her pride and joy. She loved hearing all about their activities and schooling. She attended everything she possibly could from sports games, to birthday parties, and all family gatherings. She talked about them to anyone who would listen.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings, her true loves, Gene (2005) & Edwin (2017), and her grandson, Danny. She leaves behind her three children, Steve (Linda) Pyburn, Debbie (Jim) Gentle, and Gina Hagler, her nine grandchildren and her twelve greats.
Sally will be missed terribly by her family and friends. Thank you to her caregivers, Jenine, Missy, Kennedy, Jessica, Kimberly and Amanda, and to her neighborhood family, Doug, Elena and Dana. The love you showed her was immeasurable. To the Mountain Home Tigers football team - Sally will be cheering you on from heaven. She knows you will make her proud.
