Frank L Hampton

Frank Leonard Hampton, Jr, age 78, of Glenns Ferry, closed his eyes peacefully for the last time, January 25, 2023.  Born Francis Leonard Faria, Jr on January 9, 1945, in San Bernardino, California to Frank and Geneva Faria, where he spent the first eight years of his life amongst his fathers extended and close family.  At the age of eight his parents purchased a ranch in Indian Cove, Idaho where he grew up.  His school age and high school years were attended in Glenns Ferry.  After graduating high school Frank spent four years in the Navy and completed two tours in Vietnam. 

After returning home from the war, he married Elizabeth Mae Harder (Lily Hampton) who was the absolute love of his life. Together they raised five children.  Bruce (Bonnie) Hampton, Justin Hampton, Thersia (Carl) Burns, Lance (Missy) Hampton and Travis Hampton

Frank spent his life doing many things.  He served as a police office, heavy equipment operator, managed a cattle ranch in Montana and drove semi-truck.  His true passions were cows, firearms and drawing.  He was a known Western artist, loved horses and worked extensively with leather.

Frank was preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 54 years Elizabeth, his father Frank Faria, mother Geneva Hampton, step father Cecil Hampton and extended family.  He leaves behind his 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, his 2 older sisters Beulah and Caroline, elder brother Charles Paul and his baby sister Almira Hampton.  As well as many other friends and family.

Those of us that really knew him absolutely loved him, to everyone else you have no idea how little he cared!!

No formal services are scheduled.  Cremation under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
